Jazz fusion – a dynamic, somewhat aggressive mix of jazz, rock and techno with experimenting hints originating far from the major-minor system, far from the classic and jazz harmony and rhythmic divisions – this is the music of my dreams. My first fascinations were the celebrities of polish jazz in the 70s and 80s. Michał Urbaniak, Wojciech Karolak, Tomasz Stańko, Adam Makowicz, Zbigniew Namysłowski, „Laboratorium”, „Extra Ball”, „Sun Ship”... and of course Urszula Dudziak, who showed me what a woman can create through her voice.

Nowadays, I listen to everything happening in the modern jazz. And I have a problem, because apart from the Italian „Zu”, whose compositions named „Ostia” gives me chills, I hardly can single anybody out. They are all great, but I would still like something else, something different. More movement, more violent bends, more colours, more tension. Music is for me like a look through a kaleidoscope, in which the slightest oscillation triggers dramatic changes. Each piece, each song, is for me an extraordinary, one and only story dressed in a show consisting of singing, dancing and light.

During the last few years, I’ve been performing in jazz clubs in Berlin. I met many amazing musicians who introduced me to the world of jazz expression and improvisation. I performed several dozen standards: from Duke Ellington to Antonio Carlos Jobim. Jam sessions and concerts with good musicians are the best jazz-academy where you can gain a lot of skill and stage experience. And I think that the time has come to start performing the music of my dreams.

With a bit of pleasant excitement I introduce my own first song, recorded in a ‘domestic way’ together with the pianist and composer Jarosław „Jerry” Krenz. „Dakedike” is a jolly scherzo, in which I praise the world and life. There are no extraordinary trans-galactic departures in the unknown, but there is still so much for me to discover. Regards. Michelle.
